G'day all
I am wondering if anyone on the forum has a working knowledge of Northern Territory (Aust) Top End mantid species? I live in Darwin but travel to all points in the Top End with my work. Mantid and phasmid records are few here but everyone sees and meets them regularly. They're just part of the landscape and as with so many things here no-one has done the science.
Yesterday I watched a "Giant rainforest mantis" (Hierodula majuscula) moult in my office, not a bad distraction!
She's come to stay at my place and she's hardened up so the porch light is on for her first feed here.
So, I am an information junkie and if anyone has info on Top End species let's talk.
If anyone wants a discussion on this part of the world, I am up for it. I work out bush so cant access comunications regularly but will catch up when I'm back. (usually on weekends).
Happy new year to you all
