I found her near my green beans. I dont know what happend but you can see she is missing an arm and behind her head you can see a puncture wound. what do you guys think did this? another mantis or maybe she tried to catch the rat that has been eating my tomatoes and failed. she is so big i just dont see her losing a fight vs another mantis. poor gal i wish her the best of luck.

I'd just take her in and feed her and give her a good rest of her life. She may even be pregnant for all you know. That is assuming shes a female! Rather they die in a comfortable home with lots of food than in the wild, hungry, and susceptible to birds and other animals.

She is fine. It is a female and adult so yes, it has eggs. I find them in the wild with all kinds of old injuries.

i would take her in but i just dont have the space. I already have 4 and dont have anymore enclosures.I use to have like 7 of them but they outgrew there former potato salad containers so i released some.
