Take out for my Chinese (not take out Chinese!)

Found a nice big juicy grasshopper for Little Miss Mantis today...in the hallway of my work!

I captured it and brought it home.

She's been munching happily, but seems to be slowing down. It's about as long as her thorax.

Did I bring her too much food? I know she'll stop eating when she's full, but I was wondering if this bug is just too big. What are size guidelines?

Shes ok with it, I eat that way too :tt2: mama always said," My eyes were bigger than my stomach"!

Well she seemed to lose interest after a time. I'm just thankful she got it...I thought it might hop away before she got a hold of it. Hopefully she got her fill.

She will, she is a happy girl, it is nice to see them not finish sometimes, means they have full tummy and could be getting ready to lay me that nice big fat ooth! :tt2:

SHe's eating it so it's fine. She will stop when full.
