Update on my Mantis

Hi everyone,

I just want to give an update on my praying mantis. He is still doing great. He/she has molted 3 times since my last post. He is now enjoying crickets for breakfast. He is over 2 inches long and fat and happy. I took some pictures but I still havent gotten a good enough picture to post. Its hard to get a good picture on such a small creature with a not so good camera. One of his antenae has been severed. Maybe the last molt messed it up. Will it grow back? Anyway. I thought you guys deserved an update since you have helped me to learn how to take care of him. I am still looking forward to the day that I could let him go free outside in my butterfly bush. Thanks everyone!

I've had some of my mantids lose antenna, legs, etc, when molting or during a fight for lunch. It'll grow back in a few molts. Your guy will probably have big antenna as an adult!
