I want a pair of this species so bad!

I was wondering if they needed air holes! I'm glad you said something before it was too late haha. I took the time to make their enclosures breathable. This should also make it easy to add moisture to the sponges.

So I went to the pet store this morning and picked up a culture of flightless drosophila flies for them. I put a few flies in each of their small habitats and most of them went straight to feasting! Their habitats are 3x3 tupperware containers from the dollar store with a scrub sponge hot glued...

So my big stagmo laid a fertile ooth before she died and it just hatched. There's at least 30 of these little guys and I have no idea how I'm going too feed them all. Any suggestions? Also, how cannibalistic are the limbata species? Is it recommended to keep them together?

She is very clumsy when moving, she typically drags her abdomen, as well. She is also not very good at climbing most surfaces because she is missing the (pardon my lack of terminology) long grabby thing at the end of her right raptorial and it appears that she cannot move the one on her left...

Not entirely sure what the species is, but it looks like a male. Found it hanging out between my screen door and sliding glass door this morning. I fed him a small grasshopper that I found outside. Seems to be a sub adult, it looks like his wings are starting to come in. Any input on...

Any idea where these species are native to? I live in southern California and I can almost swear that I saw one of these the other day. Like you said, built more like a roach than a mantis, but now that I've seen these I'm second guessing my initial distinction upon seeing it...
