the hole point of having low iso(100) the highest shutter speed pos(200 with the flash sync) and f/22 would mean almost 0 light is hitting the senser..yer the subject would be dark..thats why your going to use flash. :) let me know how it turns out.
update.i manged to get hold of some nympths(not from graham) and the female has been mated.her 1st ooth wa laid 19 days ago,she also laid another one yesterday..fingers crossed i have more luck this time as there is a big demand for this species in the uk.
nah she was egg bound and wasnt hungry..+ the mantis was to small for her to go for.She liked to eat adult locust..any thing smaller than blue bottle flies she wouldn't go for.I didnt mind risking 1 just for the image any way as i had 100s at the time..gladly nothing happened tho:)
