I wish we got the same style cups as you guys over here.Pur sides are far more angled and never give enough area inside the cup :-(

Sounds very easy to use :-) all of mine have feeder holes in the side that are bunged with a peice of foam.very easy to feed that way :-)

You can sex some species from 1st instar :-)

Buying wild caught ooths is always a risky buisness,can't really blame her if they don't hatch ;-) Note-am awaiting on mine to hatch,but always pleasant to deal with :-)

I always put my adult dead in the freezer to make sure there gone for good. This and to make sure the rubbish bag doesn't start moving due to zombie mantis in the middle of the night lol

What sort of popa numbers are you gonna be using?i did a colour test with 30nymphs last year an found that I didn't have enough at all! Hopefully you have a nice large hatch!

I've found that popa ooths do ok at a reasonably normal room temperature without any extra heat.All of mine hatched a good number as well :-)

My last adult female wahlbergii nibbled me once or twice but didn't draw blood,The only other time one of my mantis has nipped with its claws is my old female theophilia-she just liked to let me know who was boss haha

None taken :-) And I certainly wouldn't call myself a top breeder hehe,I've just got lucky on a few occasions lol

Thanks for the help guys. I'd gotten to 4females and 3males but not completely sure. The last spike on the abdomen works well and when you compare them together you can begin to see the feathery ones I think.

Cheers,have tried to sex using the method you mentioned,just wanted to try and clear it up.unfortunately can't afford a proper camera at the moment so am using my IPhone one which has very limited focus up close lol
