    Wow... I was just feeding a nymph a blue bottle and I put the fly on the lid next to it, it jumped in the air, landed on its side and pretended to be dead until I nudged it and flipped the lid.... I was laughing so hard... Is this normal behavior? It's eating the fly now, but I was surprised...

    Probably just fruits or honey and put mesh over top so they don't drown.

    Just got some new friends today

    I walked into the House of Reptiles in Portland on my way home, just to check it out and see if there was anything I needed for my mantids.... And I fell in love with them both. The skink is adorable and so sweet. He plays dead when you pick him up. Lol.... Now gotta think of names....

    Communal...!

    So far I have been lucky... I will separate them eventually, but they have been happily living communally for about a month... and my last pair I kept together also until they were almost subadult.

    Update: Fixed her cage... She loves it... And she is still doing fantastic... But I worry for her making it to adulthood since she is completely missing one back leg.
