    WTB: Chinese mantid egg cases

Yeah, I'm looking for more egg cases again. :D I'm searching to buy around two to three Chinese mantid egg cases (not looking for other species right now). If anyone has some available, or will soon, PM me and let me know.

Just got my Brunner's ooth, plus an extra; he was excellent on updating me on the parcel's progress. It arrived in good condition and the ooths look great. Wonderful to do business with! :D

WTB: Ooths or nymphs, especially Chinese

I'd rather only ship within the US because I'm unfamiliar with all the (if any) regulations. Also: I'm VERY interested in ooths from the Carolina and European mantids, or any others native within the US. I need a few native species that can have some of the excess nymphs released as beneficial...

WTB: Ooths or nymphs, especially Chinese

I'm getting back into the hobby again and so I'm interested in whatever is available. My favorite species to raise has been the Chinese mantid, so I'd definitely be interested if anyone has some ooths or nymphs. Email is the quickest way to reach me, but I'll check back here often too. :)

    Spiny flower color changes

Hey all, I'm back (kinda sorta). :D I've had my spiny flower mantids in red, yellow, and green-decorated cups to see if it affects them, and it's starting to at L3. Here's one from the yellow cup: The red and green cup ones haven't molted yet... I'll post them up when they do.

    Grasshopper identification/breeding

Aw, what a shame. That's either very good news or disappointing news. They both flew up from the same spot, so I assumed they were a pair. :( Oh well. If they don't lay eggs in the next month, Merry Mantis will have herself a nice big meal. I wish we had some of those "bird grasshoppers"...

    Nile monitor

That's horrible, but at least you put an end to his suffering. I can never understand why people do these kind of things to animals. :( It's not that hard to provide them with the most basic of needs.

    Grasshopper identification/breeding

I took a better photo: For now I'll just set them up with dirt, grass, and maybe some greens, and see what happens. :)

    Grasshopper identification/breeding

In the field I frequent I happened to catch what I assume to be a male/female grasshopper pair. They are both around 1 1/2 to 2 inches long; their wings are black and green: and Anything care-specific I should be doing? What do they lay their eggs in? It would be nice if I could breed...

How soon do you seperate nymps?

I separate mine at L1 into however many number groups as I want to end up mantids. So far the only losses I've had are due to mismolting... but Rick's right, it does take a lot of time. It takes me 1-2 hours to feed 50 mantids. It depends on how awake I am.
