I love the orange/brown ish oxy! She could have easily mimic as a red leaf. I only have a green oxy, I believe she's a green mint! Excellent pictures by the way. (:
I only handle them when cleaning their enclosures. Too much handling would stress them out. I usually leave them alone and would watch them doing what they supposed to do. (grooming themselves, eating, molting etc) lol
i got my popas from Jcal but not sure where Jcal got his popas from... lol He actually sent me 4 but only one female made it to adulthood and is still alive. I had her for like almost 5 or 6 month, nymph to adult. I hope she live bit more longer... she's my favorite lol.
Their diet can be vary. I feed all of my mantids BBs & crickets. No problem with it so far... however I have a female oxy that laid her first ooth. She was mated prematurely. I hope to see some nymphs in the next month.
Maybe sudden changes in temperature caused them to be stressed. You didn't add the details about the stage of your mantids. I thought the mantids are nymph. I'd give them time to gain & adjust to its temperature because they were put outside for 3 weeks.

They have good quality plants, I ordered about 20 of them in last year ago. I may have to order some more. Reasonable prices & if you're lucky, they'd send extras (:
He should be fine as long he still eats. Maybe you're feeding him to much lol cause he look bit plumped.
I'm not sure about the spots... maybe its his natural color...
overall he look just fine. c:
This little male is so cute! I would want to have some but I'm afraid cause they're fragile to keep. Someday I shall own some.. lol. Nice photos! I like the cute mini jungle theme.
Wishing you the good luck of having fertile ooths!
