I love aquariums as well, my family has two aquiariums right now; one is community, and one is just basic goldfish. We're thinking about changing from Community to saltwater or chichlids when the remaining fish die off over the next few years, though!
I'm hoping for the best, just got to wait the next couple weeks until the female is ready, keeping them all happy and fed until then! I adore this species for sure, and I definitely hope to have nymphs available in the future!
Very cool article!! Didn't realize Yen was so allergic to roaches and mantises though..
Counting myself lucky that I'm not allergic to any of the critters in my house!

This is very good since the only other person who offered me males for...
I'm sorry to hear about Nikki mantis, definitely keep us updated! Just try not to stress her out too much as that can make it worse as others have said, and I wish you the best with her in the next few days... :( Doesn't sound good at all.

I also think they're mourning doves, and from what I can tell the tail isn't elongated enough to be a passenger pigeon. Not sure what would have caused the reddish breast on the mourning dove though; as Agent A said, it could have been an older male with a bloodied breast.
I'm sorry to hear it. I had something happen like that recently with one of my nymphs. :( It's something that happens to us all at least once from what I've read on here.
