When you have one that did not molt right do you A) freeze them .... B keep them as handicapped .... C) feed them to a healthy one ? I am not sure I can do the feed one to another, IF I did it I would not be able to watch. Just curious if I would be the only evil one IF I did this.

Where does one get his hands on Idolomantis Diabolica if they live in the US ? ooth would be better with it being shipped, however nynmphs etc would probably work too thanks for suggestions

I transferred them all so I could clean out the hatching container. I counted about 60 dead, hard to tell since sometime it could have been 2 bodies, or what was left of 2. I counted 110 live ones in the transfer, though I did have 3 fatalities due to my inexperience ...

While I am not concerned since there were over 100 of them and figure the strong will survive, I was curious about mortality rates in nymphs ? Is 50% by first molt surprising ? (i am not at the 50% mark) Out of say 100 ... can you expect to have 10 .. 15 .. 20 adults ? I dont plan to baby...

For the last couple weeks he has been looking sluggish ... I have let him roam the bathroom since he would work his way to the window and just stare out. The only way I could get him to take food, every 3 or 4 days was to smash the crickets head and keep pushing it at him as he batted it away...

Anyone know where I can get my hands on an Hierodula grandis (Giant Indian Mantis) ooth ? Yeh, I know I am also looking for an African mantis ooth ... but think Hierodula might be a nice species to try to take from egg to adult. I am in the US if that makes any difference
